We normally reset and recharge during the weekend, but this time, why not try doing that before the weekend so that you can enjoy your break even more?
Before we look at this quick yoga sequence to reset for the weekend, why don’t we make sure we’re on the same page and define “reset”?
I suppose it means different things for different people, but I like this particular definition by Cambridge Dictionary:
to turn a piece of computer equipment off and then on again when it does not work correctly, to make it start working correctly again
We certainly are not computers, but the idea that something that’s not exactly working as it should (just as I often feel after a long week) can be turned on & off again to make it work as new gives one something to hope for.
A reset, for me, is shedding the stress and worries that plague my body and mind. Doing something to forget them – sort through them and get rid of them once and for all, or temporarily to deal with later.
IF I can reset, I know I can enjoy myself more fully moving forward.
Just like with computers, though, our hardware – body & mind – can get bogged down after some time. That is why a reset is necessary from time to time.
And, what better time to do one before you take a break from work? Whether it’s for the weekend or for a vacation, spending a few minutes on resetting yourself will do wonders.
Here is a 25-minute yoga sequence to help you reset for the weekend (or whenever).
