In recent times, we have really seen a rise in awareness about issues surrounding climate change. This has really been brought to the fore by campaigners such as the teenager Greta Thunberg but also because we are witnessing many worrying changes in our weather patterns. This has spurred people into action because it’s the right thing to do.
A lady originally from France named Bea Johnson is another forerunner in the movement toward change. Back in 2008, Bea decided to implement what she coined as the “Zero Waste Movement” within her family meaning that she aimed to reduce the amount of waste being produced to zero. It was a huge goal but over 10 years later, this movement that she started in France has travelled all over the world and continues to gather pace. Bea Johnson herself has since written a number of books, maintains her blog on the topic for her followers and is a welcomed speaker all over the globe in terms of the topic.
