The importance of dealing with stress cannot be stressed enough because most of us – if not all – are subject to stress every single day. Some of us deal with it better than others, but sometimes, we don’t realize just how bad the situation is.
You may not realize it, but perhaps you are so used to living with stress that you don’t even know how badly it is affecting your health – mentally and physically. You may think you’re doing okay, that you’re living a normal, happy (albeit busy) life, all while dying slowly (probably quite literally) because of stress and its effects.
I’m not being overly dramatic. I’ve got science to back me up.
Stress causes deterioration in everything from your gums to your heart and can make you more susceptible to illnesses ranging from the common cold to cancer, according to a review essay in the Dec. 2007 issue of the Association for Psychological Science’s magazine Observer.
So, do you know your stress levels? If you’re being honest with yourself, how will you answer the question “How stressed are you”?
Let’s make it less stressful for you to answer that question with this infographic slash flowchart.
You’ll start with the question “How did you sleep last night?”. Then you’ll move on to think about your general mood, how long it takes you to fall asleep, your social life, and so on.
At the end, you’ll see the results of the “how stressed are you quiz”.
Ready?
So, what result did you get? How stressed are you?
I got “A little stressed”.
