Feeling stressed at work? Meditation can help enhance focus, improve productivity, and help you feel at ease in your workplace. Below is a mantra meditation for work success.
Mantra Meditation for Work Success
Whether you’re working from home or at your office, find a comfortable, quiet place where you can meditate. Once you’ve found a spot, find a chair or any surface that you can sit on. Root your sitting bones down, and lengthen your spine.
Scan your body and notice any pockets of tension that are making themselves felt. Relax these areas, acknowledging that these may be signs of stress from work. Notice if you’re holding your breath too, and slow down and breathe with awareness. You can also practice a form of pranayama for a few minutes.
Then, check in with your mind. Notice if there are any negative thoughts about work or your career that may be slowing down your productivity. Observe these without any judgment, then set the intention to let these go.
Once you feel a little bit more settled, begin to visualize yourself having an inspired, productive day at work. You can visualize your workspace being sparkling clean and tidy, your colleagues being cooperative and cheerful (even if they may not be this way), and yourself feeling strong and energized.
Even if these visualizations may seem far from your present situation, try to still imagine it as though it were already there. Cherish these and believe in them; know that they can become reality.
When you are ready to recite your mantra or affirmations, clear your mind and begin to recite the following phrases to yourself. You may do this out loud or quietly, depending on what you’re comfortable with.
I am attracting everything I need to be successful. My talents, passions, and abilities guide me. I am worthy of success. My goals are achievable. I am enough.
Repeat this mantra meditation for a few minutes, or until you are ready to end your practice. Then, open your eyes and get on with your day.
