When it comes getting a promotion or a great reputation at work it seems creativity is the most important thing. People who are creative are able to get new clients/contracts or do their work in a way that gets noticed.

What is creativity?
Before we get into Homer’s lessons it is important to specifically define what creativity is so that we are not confused when we try to achieve it. I quite like the definition from dictionary.com:
“Creativity is the ability to transcend traditional ideas, rules, patterns, relationships, or the like, and to create meaningful new ideas, forms, methods, interpretations, etc.; originality, progressiveness, or imagination.”
It is important to look at a few elements of this definition.
1. Transcend tradition
This is an important element to look at. Quite often at the office or workplace we get stuck in a rut and end up doing things the same way every single time.
